Sky Jump is an endless vertical jumper: your blob bounces automatically, you only steer left and right, and the screen scrolls up forever. It's the game to open when you want something to do with your thumb and nothing to do with your brain.
The rules
Your blob bounces on its own. Steer left and right by swiping or tilting. Land on platforms to keep climbing. Fall off the bottom of the screen and the run ends.
Leaving one side of the screen wraps you to the other, which is the single most useful mechanic in the game.
The three platform types
- Solid — bounces you reliably, every time.
- Moving — slides side to side. Land near the centre; catching one at the edge of its travel usually throws you off course.
- Breakable — one bounce and it's gone. Fine when there's another platform above; fatal when it was your only option and you've drifted.
Going higher
Don't rush. The screen only scrolls when you climb, so there's no clock. Bouncing on the same solid platform three times while you line up the next jump costs nothing.
Use the wrap. A platform at the far right is often quicker to reach by going left off the edge. People forget this and make long horizontal traverses instead.
Look up, not down. Steer for where you want to be two platforms from now. Chasing the nearest platform is how you end up on a breakable one with nothing above it.
