Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026 · Effective: July 4, 2026
Go Brain is built privacy-first and has no ads. The games play fully offline. When you use the online leaderboard, the app creates an anonymous guest profile and sends a display name you choose, a device identifier, and your country to our server. The app also uses Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage. This policy explains exactly what we process, why, and how to delete it.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how FightTech ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Go Brain game (the "Game"), available as a mobile app (package / bundle id vn.fighttech.go2048) and as a web version. By using the Game, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Privacy at a glance
- The games play fully offline. Your progress and settings are stored on your device.
- The online leaderboard is optional. To join it you pick a display name — there is no email, phone number, or password sign-in.
- When you use the leaderboard, the app sends us a display name, a device identifier, your country, basic device info (model, OS version), and your game scores. We store these on our server so the leaderboard works.
- The app uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) for aggregate usage analytics; this includes an advertising identifier.
- The app contains no advertising and no in-app purchases.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to build a cross-app advertising profile of you.
- You can delete your data at any time — see section 8.
3. Information we process
On your device (not sent to us)
The Game stores this locally on your device so it can remember your progress between sessions. It is not transmitted to us.
| Data | Purpose | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Current board, score & best score | Resume your game and show your high score | On device (local storage) |
| Theme & language preference | Remember your light / dark and language choice | On device (local storage) |
| Play streak & settings | Track daily streaks and reminders you enable | On device (local storage) |
Sent to our server (online leaderboard)
The leaderboard is optional. If you set a display name and play a ranked game, the app creates an anonymous guest profile and sends the following to our server (gobrain.fighttech.vn) so the leaderboard can work. There is no email, phone number, or password.
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Display name you choose | Show your entry on the leaderboard |
| Device identifier (a per-install ID; on Android 8+ this is the Android ID, on iOS the vendor identifier) | Link your profile to your install and prevent duplicate/abusive entries |
| Country (derived from your device language setting) | Country leaderboards and aggregate stats |
| Device info (model, OS version, platform) | Diagnostics and abuse prevention |
| Game scores (game, level, completion time, score) | Rank you on the leaderboard |
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location. We do not use your data to build a cross-app advertising profile of you.
4. Third-party services
The mobile apps use Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — for example which screens and games are popular. Firebase Analytics may process app-interaction events and an advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID / iOS identifier). We use this only in aggregate to improve the app; we do not use it to build a cross-app advertising profile or to serve ads. This data is processed by Google as described in Firebase's privacy documentation and Google's Privacy Policy. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads; on iOS, in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
The leaderboard backend at gobrain.fighttech.vn is operated by us (FightTech) and stores the data listed in section 3.
The website (this landing page and its sub-pages) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, anonymous usage. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process technical data such as a shortened IP address, device and browser type, approximate region, and the pages you view. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking analytics cookies, or by enabling "Do Not Track".
The web version is hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any website, the hosting provider may process standard technical request information (such as IP address and user-agent) in server logs for security and delivery, governed by GitHub's privacy statement. The mobile apps do not make this request and do not need the internet to function.
5. Device permissions
- Internet — used for the online leaderboard and analytics. The games themselves play offline.
- Advertising ID (
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) — used by Firebase Analytics for aggregate analytics, as described in section 4. - Vibration / haptics — a subtle tap when tiles merge. No data is involved.
- Notifications (optional) — only if you enable streak reminders.
The Game does not request access to the camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, or photos.
6. Data storage & retention
On-device data remains on your device until you clear it — starting a new game replaces your saved board, and uninstalling the app removes all local data.
Leaderboard data (display name, device identifier, country, device info, and scores) is retained on our server while your guest profile exists, so your leaderboard entry persists across reinstalls. When you delete your account (see section 8), we delete this profile and its scores. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be retained by Firebase/Google per their standard retention settings.
7. Children's privacy
Go Brain targets a general audience (ages 13 and over) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us a display name or other data, contact us at fighttech.vn@gmail.com and we will delete it.
8. Your rights and choices
- Delete your account & data (in-app) — open the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This removes your leaderboard profile, display name, and scores from our server.
- Delete after uninstalling, or request access/export — see our Account & Data Deletion page, or email fighttech.vn@gmail.com with the display name you used.
- Local data — clear the app's data in your device settings, or uninstall the app, to remove everything stored on your device.
- Advertising ID — reset or delete it in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us using the details below to exercise them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, note it in the store listing. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
